Learning together, we can achieve great things!

Courtney used to be a secondary school and because of this we are the envy of many primary schools because we have so much space. Below are some of the treasures of our six acre site in Kingswood.

We have a large bottom hall where all the children meet ou Fridays for whole school assembly. It is kitted out with PE apparatus and a stage with lighting facilities. We take full advantage of this by putting a concert on for parents once a term. This is the Y3/4 children performing Anansi and the Sky God.

This is the school's non fiction library. All classes have a timetabled slot in this room and there is also a library club for the children.

This is the computer suite, a set of sixteen networked computers housed in the jubilee room. This room was built with funds raised by PTA for the school's Jubilee in 1998 and the other half of the room is used for group work and art and DT activities.

This is the quiet area of the playground which has been developed by the PTA. Recently they have paid to have lovely colourful markings on the playground and for a variety of games to keep the children busy at break and dinner times.

We have a exceedingly large playing field where the football team train and where the children have sports day and their PE and playtimes in the warmer months of the year.

This is the Jubilee crown, designed by KS2 children with a local artist David Bowers to mark the Queen's 50 years as Monarch. It is housed in the purpose built canteen area which is on site. We are fortunate enough not to have to double up a hall as a dinning area! The Infant annexe for the Foundation stage is below the canteen.

This is the top hall which is used for music sessions and for assemblies.  We have a good range of percussion instruments kept in here as well as a piano and a CD system.

We have some beautiful views from Courtney's site especially in the Summer and Autumn. This one shows a snapshot of the Cotswolds.
