Courtney's school council serves a very important role. It is the children's forum to say what they think about school life and action their thoughts. It is made up from representatives from each class and meets regularly with Mr Ledbury and Mrs Bacon, the teaching assistant.
In the past the children have organised the implementation of the signs to encourage drivers to slow down outside school made signs to encourage good hygiene in the toilets: They even spent time in school on a Saturday to paint them a new, bright, fun colour. They were fundamental to the design and completion of the quiet area in the playground.
